14 Years of Power, Purpose & Presence: Thank You for Walking This Journey With Us

What started as a bold dream in a small Nairobi office 14 years ago has grown into one of East Africa’s most inspiring fashion movements. Today, as we mark another milestone, we’re not just celebrating time — we’re celebrating transformation. Evolution. Community. And every #VivoWoman who made it possible.
From Passion Project to Power Brand
In 2010, Vivo was born out of one powerful belief: African women deserve to wear clothes that speak to who they are — vibrant, dynamic, bold. Since then, we’ve grown into more than just a fashion label. We’re a movement. A voice. A mirror of the women we serve.
The Year So Far: January to June 2025
🩷 February kicked off with a twist on tradition through our Valentine’s and Galentine’s Series — a content-first celebration of love in all its forms. From solo dates to friendship moments and affirming your own reflection, we leaned into self-love and real-life bonds over cliché campaigns.
🌸 In March, we launched Yene, a satin-laced collection captured in lush garden settings and rooftop lounges. Yene was a soft but powerful tribute to the many moods of womanhood, and a reminder that elegance comes in every size, shape, and story. We also celebrated Mother’s Day with Gen X and Millennial mums and daughters — spotlighting real women who raise queens, shape culture, and do it all in style.
💥 April brought the highly anticipated Kelemi 4.0 drop. This wasn’t your average restock — it was a full-on fashion statement. Bold silhouettes. Head-turning prints. Confident colour. Kelemi 4.0 marked a shift toward unapologetic self-expression, worn proudly by attendees and influencers at the What Women Want Summit 3.0.
☀️ In May, we released two collections that leaned into everyday ease and soft living:
-
Kaisa offered warm-tone, millennial-friendly daywear designed for the woman who moves with intention.
-
Rema was all about relaxation — loungewear that looked just as good at home as it did out and about.
🧡 Most recently, in June, we dropped Takali — a smart casual capsule designed for easy joy, spontaneous plans, and fashion that feels like fun. Think soft tailoring, throw-on-and-go sets, and proudly Made-in-Kenya pieces that work hard and play hard.
Of course, these weren’t the only drops. Throughout the year, we’ve introduced Chela, Seli, and a wave of new arrivals — each collection created with intention, inspired by real women and real moments.
Built With You, For You
At the core of every campaign, every collection, every stitch — is you. Our community. The women who tag us in mirror selfies before big meetings. The girls who visit our stores with their mums, their sisters, their squads. The entrepreneurs and content creators who’ve collaborated with us to bring our pieces to life in ways we never imagined.
Your support hasn’t just kept us going — it’s helped us grow with purpose. Whether you’ve been here since our early store openings, discovered us online last month, or joined us through one of our influencer collabs — this brand is as much yours as it is ours.
Our Vision Still Stands: Made in Kenya. Worn With Pride.
From Nairobi to Kigali, Kampala to the diaspora — we’re still committed to one big goal: seeing Africa dress herself and the world. That means celebrating local talent. Prioritising ethical production. And ensuring that every woman who wears Vivo feels seen, celebrated, and powerful.
As we look ahead, we’re expanding what fashion can mean. More versatile pieces. More conversations that count. More community-driven collaborations. More real style for real women.
