May Wrap-Up: Celebrating Motherhood Across Generations at Vivo Woman

At Vivo Woman, we believe that clothes can carry more than style — they carry stories. And this May, we told one of our most meaningful stories yet: a tribute to two generations of women connected by motherhood, legacy, and love.
Our 2025 Mother’s Day campaign spotlighted the unspoken bond between Gen X mothers and their Millennial daughters. Whether mothering children, each other, or even themselves through different seasons of life, these women embody what it means to nurture across time.
This wasn’t just a celebration. It was a mirror held up to the women who raised us, shaped us, and walked beside us — reminding us that motherhood is not one moment, but a lineage.
1. A Legacy of Love, Evolving
Gen X mothers came of age in an era that demanded grit — where motherhood was often silent strength, holding families together behind the scenes. Their daughters — Millennial women — are redefining that narrative, carving space for softness, ambition, self-expression, and mental wellness as part of what it means to mother.
This generational dialogue is what inspired our campaign:
A conversation between women who’ve walked similar paths but in very different shoes.
A tribute to those who raised us, and the ways we’re raising the world differently now.
2. A Studio, A Moment, A Memory
To bring this idea to life, we opened our doors — and our lens — to real families from our community. At the ShopZetu Studio, we captured portraits of Gen X and Millennial mums, side by side, in raw and radiant beauty.
These weren’t just photos. They were frozen moments of legacy — of pride passed through glances, gestures, and quiet knowing. No frills. No filters. Just women, showing up as they are — for themselves and for each other.
The result? A living, visual love letter to generational motherhood — timeless, honest, unforgettable.
3. Celebrating Mothers with Meaning
At Vivo, celebration is never performative — it’s purposeful.
That’s why we offered:
-
A Ksh. 3,000 gift voucher to every mother who participated in the photo shoot experience — a token of thanks, and a reminder that she deserves to receive, not just give.
-
A spend-and-save community offer — Ksh. 1,000 off for every Ksh. 10,000 spent — encouraging our customers to not only celebrate their own mothers, but other mothers around them too.
There were no brand tie-ins. No flashy gimmicks. Just a heartfelt offer from us to the women we exist to serve.
4. Real Women. Real Stories. Real Impact.
Throughout the month, our platforms amplified voices from within our community — real women telling their motherhood stories in their own words.
Stories of daughters learning from their mothers’ silence.
Of mothers finding new joy through their daughters' confidence.
Of clothing passed down, and values passed forward.
Of womanhood that isn’t a destination — but a relay.
These weren’t curated moments. They were lived ones. And they reminded us that every mother’s story is a thread in the larger tapestry of who we are as a brand — and as a community.
5. What We’re Holding Onto
As we turn the page on May, we carry this campaign with us — not as a campaign, but as a calling.
To honour the women who came before us.
To uplift the women walking beside us.
To create space for the women rising next.
We’ll continue to dress these women — with elegance, with purpose, and with respect for the stories they wear long before the fabric touches their skin.
Because motherhood, at Vivo Woman, isn’t a trend.
It’s a legacy — and it lives on in every generation we serve.🧡
