Job Purpose:
At Vivo, we see graphic design as visual storytelling that engages, informs, and inspires. The graphic designer will take concepts and ideas and create visual representations, in both print and electronic media. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and be skilled in every step of the design process, from concept to final deliverable. Collaborating with multiple teams across the company, the graphic designer should be able to take written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design that connects. The graphic designer will have a thorough understanding of branding and marketing, and be able to find the right style and layout for every project. An ideal candidate will have a graphic design background with an interest and/or skills in UI/UX design.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing creative concepts across social media, print, outdoor campaigns, expos, and website assets that are in line with the demands of the brief.
- Developing rough drafts of concepts and presenting these to the Head of Marketing
- Collaborating with other creatives in the Marketing Team to ensure a common vision and consistent branding.
- Ensuring that a design project remains within scope and on time.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in graphic design and marketing.
- Present ideas and designs to stakeholders and incorporate feedback into final designs.
- Manage multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
Key Skills
- Understanding of design principles, including typography, colour theory, and composition
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience as a graphic designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design skills.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, UX design, and photo editing is also required.
